The Brooklyn Bridge, built by two great cities to link together without the forces of nature posing any sort of obstacle. The Eighth Wonder of the World, the bridges is the pinnacle of late 19th century engineering and design. The story behind the effort to build this bridge is one of the greatest stories of perseverance and sacrifice ever to come out of New York.

Meet up location:
We will meet in front of the Municipal Building, 1 Centre Street, at the intersection of Chambers Street and Centre Street. This site is close to several subway lines.
More About the Tour:
We will discuss the history of the bridge, get an over view of the history of where we are and then proceed on to the bridge. We will stop for photo ops at various points on the way. We will then tour a bit of DUMBO at the Brooklyn end of the bridge.
End location: Fulton Landing in Brooklyn Bridge park. This site is close to a couple of New York City subway lines, spectacular views of the bridge and lower Manhattanas well as a plethora of food and dining options:
